The Salvation Army has deployed Emergency Disaster Service teams to help those affected by devastating flooding in Globe-Miami, Arizona. You can help our people who are providing meals, drinks and snacks, along with essential clean-up items and emotional and spiritual care to residents, evacuees and first responders. The Town of Miami, through “Hearts Of Miami Engaged” – HOME, a 501 C 3 non-profit, has established “The Miami Flood Relief Fund” to provide much needed support to residents and businesses impacted by the recent, devastating flooding.
Miami is a small town deeply rooted in the copper mining industry. Miami is valued world-wide for the copper it produces. Generations have grown up here, have family history, and thousands more pass through Miami daily on their travels.
The floods in the Globe-Miami area have caused significant damage, displacing families and leaving behind widespread loss. Recovery will take time, resources and community support. While state disaster funds might provide some relief, many GHS Alumni and their families will be facing immediate needs. Some may have insurance, others may not.
Many GHS Alumni have reached out asking how they can help. We created this fundraiser so Alumni and friends can donate. A group of alumni will come together to oversee how these funds are used to provide the greatest support where it is needed the most to help the most GHS Tigers. In the event there are surplus funds the GHSAA will team up with other nonprofits to ensure the funds are used in the best way possible to help the victims of this flood.
The GHS Alumni have always been- and will always be- a source of strength, care and support for each other and for our hometown of Globe.

Gila Monster Raceway has opened a common account at First Choice Lumber to assist in the rebuilding process. This account can be used by anyone affected by the floods.This account can be used by anyone affected by the floods. First Choice Lumber has already donated materials to the community so let’s help them out by adding additional funds to this account so our community can support a local small business to rebuild! They are billing the materials at cost to spread the funds as far as they can.
